#32 - Wedding Music

Now when Trey and I first started this wedding planning journey
he came into it with a more hands off approach.
But the more decisions that needed to be made
a new, more involved Trey appeared.
I'm not necessarily saying this was a bad thing.
Being the dictator that I am, I wasn't really looking for him to have an opinion.
However, planning is a lot like marriage,
full of compromises and deep sighs.
So in order to lessen my load,
and give him something he could fully take ownership over,
I decided to entrust him with the responsibility of the wedding reception music.
And anyone who knows Trey knows he LOVESSSSSS music.
I'm sure he came out of his mother's womb beat boxing and percolating.
He went to work selecting songs for all the special moments of the evening
from our first introduction as husband and wife,
to the bouquet toss/garter toss,
and all the significant dances in between.
Maya Angelou once said,
"People will forget what you said.
People will forget what you did.
But people will never forget how you made them feel."
Based on his child-like reaction at the mention of our reception,
I'm sure this is one part of wedding planning that Trey won't forget.
I'm also sure it will truly be a memorable evening for our guests,
...even if I end up being forced to do the Wobble.
